30 upcoming games will be presented at the NRW Indie Showcase
at devcom Developer Conference 2024!

The Indie games exhibition is the shining gem of devcom Developer Conference.

If you’re an independent developer or studio, this is your chance to present your project to the international games industry.

The devcom NRW Indie Showcase 2024 – Hybrid Edition, funded by the Premier of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, is now open for application:

  • online only with a virtual booth, or
  • hybrid with a showcase onsite, and virtually in our event app.

We will select up to 20 playable game projects from all entries to be shown at the NRW Indie Showcase of devcom Developer Conference 2024 by invitation onsite in Cologne, Germany.

We will additionally select 10 playable projects to be presented in our virtual NRW Indie Showcase 2024 on our official online platform gamescom biz community.

You will have access to unlimited matchmaking online and/or onsite, no matter if you take part online or hybrid.

Your Game on Twitch

During #ddc2024, your game will be presented in our “Let’s Play Indies” show on our Twitch channel, streamed live from our studio booth onsite.

All participants get nominated for the devcom Indie Award 2024, which will be celebrated at the prestigious devcom Networking Dinner.

Who can apply?

  • devcom Developer Conference is an international event, so teams from all countries can apply.

  • You can participate with any game if there is a playable prototype.

  • Since we are committed to supporting newcomers, applications from newer studios and projects will be given preference.

  • As devcom has diversity at its core, we strongly encourage diverse teams to apply!

Participation is FREE!

Thanks to the continued support of our partner, the Premier of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, participation in this year’s NRW Indie Showcase is FREE for all selected teams!

Studios/projects that don’t make it into this year’s lineup of 20 on-site teams have the opportunity to book a discounted spot in the #ddc2024 Indie Market. You can find more details below.

What does the NRW Indie Showcase 2024 – HYBRID EDITION package include?

Your Showcase onsite

  • A showcase booth including:

    • furniture and branding (1 high table bridge, bar chairs)
    • 43’’ screen, mounted
    • power supply including consumption
    • safety audit

  • Lead retrieval: onsite badge reader (scan & collect data)

Please keep in mind that everything else, like computers, keyboards etc. has to be provided by yourself!

Join the devcom Indie Market!

Since spots in the NRW Indie Showcase are very limited, we are offering limited discounted access to the devcom Indie Market for all studios/projects that don’t make the cut this year.

The package will be available for 499 € (net) and includes the following services:

Your Showcase onsite

  • A showcase booth including:

    • furniture (conference table, 2 conference chairs)
    • power supply including consumption
    • safety audit
    • discount on additional devcom tickets

     

  • Lead retrieval: onsite badge reader (scan & collect data)

     

  • Please keep in mind that everything else, like computers, keyboards etc. has to be provided by yourself!
    Each team can bring one roll-up (production not included), not higher than 2 m and not wider than 1m.

  • Please be aware that the Indie market package does not include your devcom ticket! You will need to buy your business pass separately for a special discounted price (400 € net).

The devcom Indie Award

The devcom Indie Award 2024 will take place on Sunday evening, August 18, at the prestigious devcom Networking Dinner in Cologne, which will be attended by ~400 speakers, VIPs, invited partners, and sponsors.

The contestants are all developers and studios taking part in the NRW Indie Showcase, so if you’re selected as a participant, you’re automatically a candidate for the devcom Indie Award.
