Information on our Coronavirus management

With the COVID-19 crisis in mind, we are currently receiving many enquiries about devcom 2020, and our fundamental principle is that the health of our visitors, speakers and partners is our top priority. That’s why we‘re constantly in touch and exchanging information with our partners, the game Verband and Koelnmesse, with all of us following the recommendations of the authorities regarding major events.

We expect the situation to ease considerably in the five months leading up to devcom, and are confident that devcom will go ahead on schedule from 22 to 24 August 2020.

We are especially happy about all the positive feedback we’re receiving from many of our partners and speakers who are looking forward to the conference and have firmly scheduled for it to go ahead.

So, it’s really important to us to reassure you: no-one needs to worry about their devcom tickets. Should – contrary to all expectations – devcom 2020 not take place as planned, we will of course refund your tickets.

Our planning and preparations for devcom 2020 are still in full swing. We‘re really looking forward to seeing you and hosting the next edition of devcom here in Cologne. Stay healthy and take good care of yourself and those around you!

devcom was a great experience. I was able to speak with developers not only from all over Europe, but from all over the world.
It truly was a global community coming together to share ideas, perspectives, experiences and technology.

Don Daglow

devcom is a place where we get to discuss making great games and meet great new people, and one of my favorite events on the calendar.

Kate Edwards

devcom has quickly become one of the must-attend game industry events in Europe, and I’m really looking forward to seeing how it continues to grow and serve the global community of game creators!

Svyatoslav Torik

I’ve been to all kind of conferences, small and large, and I find that devcom attendance rate suits me best.
I met exactly as many new people as I expected, I received different kinds of positive feedback to my session, and I personally liked what I experienced at devcom.

Dan Bernardo

Playtra Games

devcom was, no doubt, an incredible experience.
As a speaker and a developer, I had a great time learning from the top talents of the game industry.

Antonia Koop

devcom was truly an event for the creators: an opportunity to inspire and get inspired, explore and discover, and to have those challenging discussions that drive us forward as a creative industry.

Mark Barlet

The AbleGamers

I was excited to see such a receptive audience who wanted to learn about how to support players with disabilities.
The conversations and contacts I made while at devcom will bear fruit for years to come.

devcom is a valuable, well-managed extension of gamescom that would be relevant for any developer, publisher, or industry professional looking to create partnerships.
